The report of the 1975 Coupe contest is one of many which inspired me to try comp. flying- in fact a couple of years later I managed the distinction (which may be unequaled) of placing last in both 80 & 100g.,quite an achievement with over 100 entries. I know the current mantra is “no blow-by-blow contest reports”, but I certainly found them interesting as a sport/ scale flyer in the 60’s & early 70’s, just as I- and all real aeromodellers- find accounts of other discipline’s activities interesting today.
