ModelAir website now updated!
Modelair, the organisers of the above events wish to apologise for the delay in updating the website (www.modelair.info), but can confirm that it is now fully operational with all the new info for this season’s events.
Join us over Scale Weekend, 28/29 July…
All types of models are welcome, although the theme of the weekend is for scale models – there will be some Trophies for the best models in the various classes awarded on the Sunday, but Free Flight, Control Line and Radio Control models of all types are all welcome. The field is quite small and so naturally suits smaller models – the max weight for an RC model is 10kg and it is this unique mixture of all the disciplines on one airfield, at the same time, which gives Old Warden Model Flying Weekends, a very special ambiance, together with the chance to visit the world famous Museum of full-size flying vintage aircraft, or visit the Beautiful Swiss Garden – for shopaholics, the bustling market town of
Biggleswade is just a few minutes away.
All together, an action-packed weekend for sports fliers! For more details and mandatory requirements for flying, visit the ModelAir website at www.modelair.org
Due to the very wet weather so far this year, special arrangements regarding camping and parking may be in force at the model flying weekends, so please check the website, or ring the organisers before travelling.
The remaining ModelAir Model Flying @ Old Warden diary is:
28/29 July – Scale Weekend – all disciplines of scale models welcome, but all types can fly (10kg max weight). Informal Trophies awarded on the Sunday.
8/9 September – Festival of Flight, including a Vic Smeed Memorial day (bring and fly one of his designs) and Chris Foss Day, featuring competitions and prizes – all disciplines of sport flying welcome.
See the ModelAir website for entry and camping details.
Can I buy One copy of Aeromodeller /?
Dear Mr Darlington
Closer to the time of publication we will offer single issues, you can call our office on 01525 222573 and order one now.
We hope to get the magazine into model shops, WHSmith on the UK High Street and in the US via Kalmbach.
Many thanks for your interest

I am interested in subscribing but it would be helpful if you could ‘translate’ pounds sterling to U.S dollars. At today’s rate I calculate that the price would be $46 plus or minus. Are credit cards (visa) acceptable?
Hello
Yes Visa is fine, prices will fluctuate with the exchange rate.
If you can it may best to call us on 441525 222 573 as then we can take all the details required.
Best Regards
ADH
I have subscribed to Aeromodeller and look forward eagerly to receiving he first copy. However, I have now twice requested information on how I can order another subscription for my father and pay with Paypal for delivery to an address other than my own – I have tried to do this via the web site without success. I am still waiting for a reply, which doesn’t strike me as either good PR or good business. Can you help please?
David Hunt
Hi David
We can take subs over the phone.
Also you should be able to add your fathers address on paypal as a secondary delivery address which you can choose to have it shipped too.
I am eagerly awaiting my firstcopy of the revamped AEROMODELLER having notified you by international phone call to transfere my redundenjt sobscription to AMI to the new A/M.
I have only been a reader of A/M since 1949, and felt a great loss when the mag ceased publication, as I’m sure was the case with many other dedicated aeromodellers. Best wishes for the future of the mag.
Hello, I have subscribed to the Aeromodeller and was wondering when it is going to be published and the first issue sent? Thanks, Pat
